Custom Asian Calligraphy Scroll Art
Asian Calligraphy Scroll art is a very traditional style of mounting a brush art painting or other artwork onto a silk brocade wall scroll. These traditional wall scrolls are typically found in China, Japan and many other Asian countries.
Asian calligraphy scrolls can contain proverbs, maxims, names, inspirational or motivational quotes and poems. Asian calligraphy scrolls are unique gifts for family, friends or colleagues, and are thoughtful and unique gifts for family, friends or colleagues.
Asian calligraphy scroll art is intended to be displayed vertically as part of the interior decoration of a room. It is traditionally displayed in the alcove of a room especially designed for the display of prized objects. The choice of the scroll and a complementary flower arrangement help set the mood of the room.
Each of the processes that go into making wall scroll art is separate art form in itself, from the artists painting to the creation of the wall scrolls. Our scrolls are assembled using the Chinese technique for sizing paper and silk. The papers are soaked in a solution of wheat paste, alum and glue, and dried to create one scroll. Then it is painted with brushwork and calligraphy.
